Iowa DNR has a reminder about lifejackets


JOHNSTON, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources wants to remind boaters in the state to take care of their lifejackets before boating this year.

Boating Law Administrator and Education Coordinator with the Iowa DNR Susan Stocker told KXCV/KRNW that different lifejackets must be cleaned different ways.

Stocker adds all lifejackets should be stored somewhere warm, dry, well-ventilated and dark.
